Jeannie Knod-Edwards will showcase 100 of her works at Texas A&M University-Texarkana's John F. Moss Library. She's had to borrow a few works from people who've purchased them, including one that's 35 years old!
Knod-Edwards uses watercolors, acrylics, and mixed media. Beyond water media, she also has created works of art in pastels, weaving, and pottery. Her work has landed in galleries, businesses, and homes. For the first time, she will have her labors of creativity all under one roof.
"You know, I didn't realize how much I had done. It's like I start gathering, and some of the pieces I borrowed—it's kind of nice to have my children back for a little while, my creations, I guess I could say," Edwards said. She loaded her van three times to transport her art to the library.
Jeannie Knod-Edwards has shown many times at the Mid-Southern Watercolorists Annual Juried Exhibition. She also received an award in 2002 from Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council for her work in arts education. Her works have also been accepted at the juried adult TRAHC show.
