Certain required characteristics of the paintings to be hung are as follows:

• There is no size limitation. Frame must be simple but sturdy and ready for hanging with wire hanger. All paintings on paper must be framed under Plexiglas. All paintings on any stretched device must be gallery wrapped and all the edges painted.

• Types of allowable media and grounds may include any water-soluble medium or combination of water-soluble media on any ground that accepts water-soluble media (e.g., paper, Yupo, canvas or prepared board).

• Entries must not have been shown previously in any Open Exhibition. Previous juried entries are allowed.

• Entries must be well-presented by the artist for gallery showing, including simple framing and white or off-white mats only. If MSW deems a painting’s framing or other presentation method is below the necessary standard, MSW will attempt to work with the artist toward the needed improvement. MSW reserves the right to exclude any painting for any reason.
