What is this?
David Cook will lead our "paint-in" gathering on Saturday, November 16, on the third floor of Levy Church of Christ in North Little Rock. David is a local artist; he has been painting and teaching watercolor for many years, most recently at the Arkansas Arts Center. His watercolor sketchbooks are "works of art" unto themselves!
Plan to bring your usual watercolor paints and paper.
You are welcome to bring a lunch or leave for lunch. We will start at 9.30 a.m. Feel free to stay as long as you like. This is a fabulous opportunity to learn from and paint with Dave.
Dave will demonstrate three exercises (listed below). Folks are invited to join in, or to just watch. This should take about the first 1 1/2 hours.
1. Painting a color wheel non-traditionally.
2. In traditional watercolor, hue comes third - Let's use all the "wrong" colors in this landscape.
3. Watercolor Off the Walls - sketchbook-journals and other fascinations.
